If you apply for helper only because players want you to apply, I don't think you need to apply.
You are the only one that can say: "Okay, today I am going to apply for helper.", not the players.
If you need the players to make a choice for you then I'm not sure if you go 100% for it.
So I don't think you should apply for helper. Unless you really want to be one and effort yourself.
**Notice: this is just my opinion. Everyone else has his/her own opinion.
