When you kill a mob by hand get a point?

And maybe for every one of your towers that kills an enemy mob?

A point would be pretty op and easy to farm. You could easily set up the right defence so that you can one shot zombies with a sword after a certain point. You could easily get 4k points an hour with this. Towers would make it much easier to get those points without your friends.

Killing mobs by hand is extremely ineffective. I'd rather not have my team mates punch a giant to death over one measly point.

And maybe for every one of your towers that kills an enemy mob?

Way too overpowered, you'd rack up hundreds of points in only a few minutes.

Tower Defense already yields a lot of points if you get on the top 3 players, which is not hard to do.
