Hiking with wings

So I just saw a post by @Venomyss so this whole suggestion is credited to his idea
I am just suggesting it due to the fact I know that quite a lot of people who are active on the forums I have noticed don't really like FFA wing maps
But there are also a handful of people who do like them
@Venomyss then made a remark about a hybrid map with both types in 1
Basically you'll start out in an area with no void okay like a ground map but there are islands on it like a wing map
There is a portal on the centre of the ground in the ground part of the map
Each kit on this map comes equipped with both an elytra and the Normal chestplate you would have on a ground map you start of wearing the chestplate with the elytra in your inventory thus you can change from Elytra PvP or ground PvP without even switching maps
As well as it is allows for air combat on the ground
I think that this would be a very interesting map
What do you guys think?
P.S. like any normal map the walls don't go up to the sky and wouldn't in this map either that way you can still die in the void if you have an elytra and it can still be an open map

This is quite the interesting Idea. It wouldn't be a bad idea to try something like this out and see how it plays out with the players.

The elytra would be temporary only used for getting to other islands . We don't want escapees flying away from us all the time

You basically just said "We don't want escapees flying away from us all the time" but only use it to get to other islands... You are saying you don't want people to use them to get away from you, but getting from island to island implies they could be running away from another player or they are almost dead. You just explained what's always gonna happen! Since theses players will be using to get away from others by flying to other islands!

"a lot of players don't like Elytra maps" was mainly an educated guess from what I have seen
also pointing out that there are also a lot of players who like Wing maps (Myself included)

the point is that it has a bunch of floating islands like in normal wing maps and there is a big main ground as well the portal is on that ground

I think I have an idea to what you mean now, but the thing is all players who don't like Elytra PVP definitely won't play this game mode which significantly reduces the target audience of this map. Although I think this is a cool original idea, I'm not sure if it's worth all the effort since I don't think there are a lot of players who will want to play it.

well that is the point of the map in the first place for both styles to be put in 1 if they like wings than they use the wings if they like normal PvP than they use their normal chestplate what this suggestion basically means is for both people who like to do each type of PvP can be together and players can switch during the game
if you want to be on one of the floating islands (being part of the Elytra point of this map) fighting as if it is a ground PvP you can
it can allow for multiple new strategies and also a lot of interesting ways to PvP

oh and this map could solve conflicts if 2 friends wanted to play FFA PvP but were undecided on which type because 1 wants to play wings and 1 wants to play normal FFA PvP

I know what you are saying but those who really hate Elytra PVP will 100% avoid this map and the Elytra maps are usually empty when I see them or only have 10 people in them max so it's really hard to say if people will still join them.

Yea alot of Players on Cubecraft don't like the elytra maps!!! But there are so many of them!!! and the second thing is there is no firework so you cant go up or you will go down in a speed and then look up to go a little bit up so thats one drawback....:(

This isn't a game mode this is a map though . And the game modes that failed were downright bad and not wanted by anybody . But this is FFA , lots of people love FFA
