A chat filter is there to tell people that they could be punished for what they have said. If someone swore, they could easily be muted for that,
if they decided to persist in putting forward their irritation or alike.
However, if someone said "OP", they most likely wouldn't mute for that. If they did it in a threatening or very disrespectful manner, then they could be muted, but that's besides the point. The point is that the chat filter is a
warning. It's letting the player know that was they said is inappropriate and they might be receiving a mute if they resume that attitude.
In terms of this being implemented, I'm going to have to go with the -1 vote. I do not believe that a filter would stop people from saying what they want if they truly want to; there are ways to bypass a filter. Since a chat filter is a warning, and you probably cannot be muted for this, it is rather unethical and unnecessary.
Suggested before but I still don't think it we added. :)
But remember that you can't say other words with OP in it for example: "PeOPle" etc. :)
Not only this but I agree with
@ISp00kyLion_.
"OP" also has many meanings and can be used in different contexts - putting it on the blacklist would be pretty annoying actually.
The only way anyone would get me to agree with this is if the filter was very OP itself and filtered "op plz"
specifically. However, like I said, it can be bypassed easily. Filtering stuff makes people even more angry so they're going to be more creative in the way they express themselves. In my eyes, it's just not gonna end well.
