Should they make normal glass cages into barrier ones?

  • Yes! That'd be a cool change!

  • Nah, keep it the way it is.

So pretty much:
I think unless you have a texture pack glass looks pretty ordinary as the cages. Barrier blocks are completely clear and they could easily be completely removed when a game starts to avoid confusion. It would also make it more significant and special to have a coloured cage because everyone else's would appear to look non existent. It's a really small change but is a simple idea that could improve the game.

Now I know there might be a reason to keep them as glass that I am not aware of. If this is the case please fell free to message me in the reply section.

Keen to hear your feedback.;)

I prefer the glass. I think it would look inconsistent if some have coloured glass and others have nothing. Also I don't think using barrier blocks would help not confusing new players.

I don't think there's any confusion on having glass, if I say so myself.. But a barrier block cage would be annoying to deal with as it may interrupt peoples bridges ect.

I think his idea was to remove the blocks when the game starts. I still don't see how that would reduce confusion.

Ok everyone, thanks for your feedback but I would like to confirm a few ideas that people seem to ignore or I haven't communicated well enough. In order of operation: people spawn in there assigned cages. The timer gets to zero. The coloured glass cages remain. And the Barrier cages are removed. I don't know about you guys but based on my knowledge of commands it would be easier to remove whole barrier cages than the bottoms anyway. Thank you for you feedback and the idea of making it avalible with vanity points is a good idea.

If they get removed my issue
Nah, you have to be able to see the glass after the game starts so you can't bump into it.
is irrelevant, however I actually quite like the glass boxes, because you can build to them, use to parkour to egg etc, but that's subjective.

There is no point of this. Really, I have (until now) never seen a person complaining about the glass "cages." I have no idea what the point of this is. The only thing I would want to change is covering the top of the cage to prevent fly hackers from destroying an egg before the game even starts.
