Important! Keep Factions 1.8!

Now, you may be like "HERP DERP STUPID SUGGESTION PLS LOCK" but please read on.

This whole suggestion is based off one problem in 1.9: Chorus Fruit. In order to stop any chorus fruit, you need to make a wall at LEAST 8 blocks thick. That means you need 200 obsidian to cover the area the size of a Cubelet opener. I'll post a video later, but it is still uploading.

You could just do one layer of obsidian with a cheap block like dirt for the other layer also e pearls can pretty much go through any wall

Nope, chorus fruit can just go right through blocks. It can even go through bedrock.

Yeah but e pearls can do the same but much more. And as I said one layer of obby with the other 7 being a cheap block if you were that worried. Also you could just have lava so they would teleport into that.

That's too easy, as you could throw one piece of TNT which would go through the obsidian.

Just for the axes? 1.9 PvP is available in every game and there will be tons of people that will just play gimmicky because 1.9 kind of favors that. I could bowspam with harming arrows and boom. I'm not that familiar with custom enchants, but still.

I have never played factions on CCG. I am very excited and would still prefer 1.9

Just for the axes? 1.9 PvP is available in every game and there will be tons of people that will just play gimmicky because 1.9 kind of favors that. I could bowspam with harming arrows and boom. I'm not that familiar with custom enchants, but still.

Harming arrows don't work at all they are just like normal arrows.

I think factions would be better and will always be better in 1.8 just because i've always preferred 1.8 for pvp. It would be interesting to see different strategies of walls though if it were 1.9 though :p I'm indecisive about this xD

Edit: Or just different strategies in general :P

If factions goes to 1.8 I mean people want 1.9 factions. There are so many 1.8 factions. If they do 1.9 factions, it'll bring the population up a LOT because there are literally no 1.9 pvp factions. Maybe there could be 2 modes. One for 1.9 pvp and one for 1.8 idk. Also, you realize they can just disable the block lol

There are lots of small 1.9 factions servers that are pvp :P
Which is why I don't get why people want factions so much you can find it anywhere... UHC on the other hand is impossible to find in 1.9 I have the privelage of having a friend with a server that can run them but other than that it is impossible to find

I actually played a factions server that had over 1000 people on it that was 1.9 for a bit too. It had a ton of customized plugins and weapons though so I didn't play for long

Orrrrr you could just disable chorus fruit, or detect the chorus fruit and wipe it from the inventory.

You could make it just detect the corus only, I even think you could do this with command blocks.

Yeah but without chorus you can't make prismarine blocks. You could still get them from end cities but the supply would be very limited
