Alrighty there everyone, i know i haven't posted in a while, but this is something that need to be discussed. Lately, (Maybe with the new HORRIBLE punishment update) there has been an increase in hackers. By a lot. i mean a lot a lot, like at least 5 in every game. Now i know also that the everyone is going to say to this thread that they are working on a new Anti Cheat, coming out SoonTM. Well, if anybody didn't know, SoonTM means about a year. Now i'm not just gonna come here and complain my ass off and not propose a solution. Here is mine, get a temporary Anti Cheat (Better than the BS one that come with spigot) to use until this new Anti Cheat comes out. Here is a link to a great Anti Cheat that is just 20$, to use at least for the time being: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/aac-advanced-anti-cheat-hack-kill-aura-blocker.6442/. Pleaseconsider using this until the new Anti Cheat comes out. i really love the server, especially Eggwars, and want to see even more players come on and enjoy it as much as i do. Thanks.

CubeCraft doesn't copy plugins from other websites/servers. I know this might be irony but, they are working on a new Anti-Cheat plugin. If you want, here's a picture confirming it:

The best way as of right now to stop hackers are to record them and report them on the forums. You can report them here: https://www.cubecraft.net/forums/report-a-player.24/ Here are the guidelines on reporting a player. That can be found here: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/player-reporting-guidelines-and-formating.136047/

I don't understand why people keep making these threads. It's not like it's going to get rid of the hackers faster.
All you're doing is pissing off the staff; it's not like their going to change the system (which they deem is good, so just GO WITH IT).
Like seriously. Just stop.

I understand that, but why not use AAC as a temporary solution until Cube's anticheat comes out? I rather do that than to stick with the old one if I were in the developer's shoes.

If not, we have one simple solution. As crazy as it is, Cube will have to allow hacking. That means we will have no unfair advantages, more fun, and, more importantly, fair fights and minigames. All Cube has to do is add hacked clients to the approved mods list and we're good to go!

I dont think you should question the people that run the server because they know what they are doing. A one week ban must be working. If it wasn't they would have it longer!
Staff have stated that the punishment system is a WIP (work in progress). Give them more time, but for the time being it unfortunately implies that hacking is allowed.

So... when TGI Friday's squeezed dirty rags into cups to make more "alcohol" they knew what they were doing :?

No!

So far the punishment system has been badly failing and many YouTubers have left the server as a result.

Like this:
I do agree that the hackers are out of control entirely due to the new punishment system.
Oh my god are you kidding me! Just blatantly flying and using kill aura!!!!
But in all seriousness, yes, we definitely should get a temporary anti-cheat to keep the server going better than it currently is.

I just ran into a fly hacker in skywars while I was doing the daily challenge. Hey, flying should be allowed because the majority of players in a game do it. Flying allows us to not fall into the void. Well, it's in the sky, so it makes sense to fly, right?

You're kidding me right
Let's see:

-Trustworthy people on many servers (this server included) have hacked? Yes.
-Many hackers on this server? Yes.
-No anticheat? Yes; however, one is in the works.
-Reports system is a mess? Yes.
-Hackers get banned for a short time (1 week)? Yes.
-Hackers return after their ban? Yes.
-People can lie in appeals and get unbanned/unmuted easily? Yes.

Therefore, we can say that hacking is implicitly, not explicitly, allowed given these reasons and that many hackers are in games and return easily.

(But really, it's never going to be. I'm kidding, but that's what it looks like now.)

- Examples?
- There are a bunch of rapists, criminals, and murders in the world. Does that mean it's implicitly allowed? NO.
- Answered this one yourself.
- You can't see it, no justification for your answer. They have over 1000 pages of reports to go through; they'll get it done (eventually).
- They get banned. Meaning it's NOT ALLOWED. It might be a short amount of time, but if they do it twice more, BAM. Gone.
- Well duh. That's why it's called a "One Week Ban" and "Monthly Ban". The times aren't just written there for decoration.
- Umm no. Half the appeals (so I've been told) are "Please just give me one more chance!", or something like that. If it's not, the staff review the evidence and if it's not enough, THEN they unban. It's not an appeal=automatic unban. Again, you have no way of justifying what you say is the truth.
It's not implicitly allowed, it's EXPLICITLY NOT. The first damn rule is to NOT HACK.
jeez.

jeez.

-Examples: KingMC, AndrewRG10, and HackersDontWin. Want a surprise? I'll PM you the details.
-You're right about that. Here's the catch when it comes to hackers though: No reports or observers watching them = no ban. For that reason, they're free to hack as much as they want until they're caught.
-Already answered as you said.
-True; I can't, but before reports became private, anyone could see that the reports were flooded with hacker reports. Per day, pages of new reports stacked on top of older ones.
-Banned, yes, but they come back and hack more.
-Point was that ban times are too short. Heck, look up a few hackers in game on appeals and some of them are either new or returning ones.
-I've read badlion appeals (no, not a staff, but all appeals are open for anyone to read only). Majority of them are long "apologies" and then they hack again.

I even had hard evidence against a donor's DDoS threat. I was not surprised that he got unmuted when it was quite clear that he threatened me. The same can't be said for his second threat, for his appeal was denied.
