As many of you gus probably now. Eggwars has a lot of campers. There are many ideas and suggestions on how to fix it. My current favourite is
Build's shop inflantation idea(I hope I spelled it correctly.)

While playing spleef I noticed that there is a hunger reduction plugin in order to prevent camping. Obviously we cant do the exact same in eggwars but something similar to it:

If a players stays in his base for too long he will start getting hunger. But since food is so easy to get in eggwars the hunger effect continues to become worse until he basically has to do nothing but eat just to survive.
Obviously now comes the question. Cant campers just build out like 10 blocks and lose the hunger effect.
No.
There would be multiple ways of getting rid of the hunger.(Dying will not prevent the hunger)
1st Breaking an egg
2nd Getting a killstreak of 3 or more outside your own island(players that spawned have a 5 min cooldown before counting towards a killstreak again)
3rd Basically anything that makes you go off your island and interact with other players.

This is quite unfair.
If you stay in your base to protect your egg you already loose hunger. Alright that's not too bad (although I'm against it).
But let's look at it like this: you are getting attacked by a different team and are fighting in your own base. You will rapidly lose hunger since you're in your own base but the other team doesn't have a problem with this. Quite unfair if you ask me.

My team mate always gets obsidian which takes some time, to upgrade the gold generator and get the 50 gold. He would have hunger and would use the iron for food while I would be trying to get a weapon. This is also unfair, because on a game of fairgrounds, we were being attacked by two teams at the same time! Needless to say we were at our island awhile. Hunger bad! (We ended up killing both teams and winning the game)

I know it could be annoying that there's a camper in your game. But you can kill them easly.

  • Step 1: See the camper.
  • Step 2: Buy a lot of building blocks, food and arrows.
  • Step 3: Try to build to him so far as you can without any protection that you prevent from falling into the void.
  • Step 4: If he shoots you, then you can build protection on your bridge.
  • Step 5: You're on his island, try to kill him.
  • Step 6: You killed the camper and you won the game.

First.I didnt say you immediatly get hunger while in your base.
Second. The Hunger would first start after 15 to 20 minutes of being in your base. And until it gets worse so you have to spam eat it would take 10 more minutes. getting a maxed goldgen is much faster in my opinion. But Alright you got a good point. Maybe make it in team gamemodes so that if one player is attacking constantly(getting kills and destroying eggs) none of the teammates get hunger since they are just defending. But if the whole team is camping(constantly in the base and not attacking anyone.)then they would get hunger after 15 minutes.

I'm sorry but it's also a -1 more me. First of all, if this gets implemented, what's the point in the egg anymore. It's practically useless. Also, can't the campers camp at the island next to them, since it's techically not their island? Finally if they do die, and the hunger thing is implemented, your practically screwed. (Since you have no hunger, you can't run)

I honestly don't see why the shop inflation was denied. They said it would make the game longer but I don't see where that's coming from. Food and blocks aren't affected, it only adds a death penalty to geared palyers.
