It was made in order to stop people spamming "op" etc at the start of the game, which is really annoying. It's only 15 seconds, so if you want to type strategies type them in the chat ready, then when the game starts quickly go into chat, press up, and send the message again so people can see it. In the end, the advantage of getting rid of spam outweighs the disadvantage of 15 seconds, which isn't long, of time where you can't talk

Well, the bad thing that would happen is "op" spam, which happened before that was in place, and the reason why it was put in place..

Changes were made with reasons.
In this case, it's to avoid OP spams as said above.
What I would do in that 15 seconds wait is just write what I want to say, Ctrl + a followed by Ctrl + c then Ctrl + v.
Ctrl + a would select all.
Ctrl + c would copy all that's selected.
Ctrl + v would paste whatever you have copied.

It's just 15 seconds, you can wait it out like everyone else.

I have just got a gold rank and while the op spam is annoying maybe they could make it so they can only talk to their team during the 15 seconds of choosing a kit and voting as that would avoid a bit of op spam but also let u talk to ur team and strategize before the game starts.

Your wrong on that.People spam Opopopoppppoppo before the game starts anyways so it make much of a difference on that note

Then you'll have like quarter of the player count gone. Not a really smart idea to ban OP spammers.
Besides, I don't think you want staff to look all ban happy.
