I was playing Minecraft smoothly like any day... When it started to freeze every 3 seconds or so... Then a white screen and a Windows notification saying that the video drivers crashed. Also, a pop up saying that Java is not responding, and with the options to close the program, open debug or search a cause.

I thought "Uh, must have been because I was rendering a 4K image on Blender while watching a 1080p video on Youtube and playing Minecraft at the same time on a GTX 650...
I was wrong. Every single session after that, the same things would have happened.

Can somebody help? Thanks.

Before I go into detail, I need to ask you these:
1st: Do you have the latest graphic card drivers?
2nd: Do you have the latest Java?
3rd: Is your Java/drivers the correct bit (like 32 or 64)
4th: Are you using Forge?
5th: Have you tried reinstalling Minecraft?

1 yes I updated yesterday
Yes I checked that
Yes I had the wrong version (5 months ago xD) but i changed to the correct one way before the problem happened
No I'm not
No I didn't

By the way... I reset all video settings and seems like everything's fine... Ugh, I should have thought about it before starting this thread.
Thanks, anyway.

Cough... cough...
It's back. I don't know what to do anymore.
You said that you changed your video settings, somtimes it resets them to what you before. Have you checked that they're the settings that fixed it last time?

Are you using Optifine? If so, try reinstalling optifine & resetting your video settings. If you're not using Optifine, give it a shot.
Also, what minecraft version are you using? 1.7.x/1.8.x/1.9.x/1.10? Have you had this problem with any of the other versions?

Ok so, I am using OptiFine and I should try that. I keep switching from 1.9 to 1.10 for server compatibility xD
No, I didn't have any problems.
I need to say all this started after updating video card drivers. Just a minute ago I rolled them back.
Let's see if it was just a driver problem and if it doesn't work I'll install the new driver again and then reinstall OptiFine.
Remember you said that you changed some of your video setting and it fixed it. Try that again.
I already did.

For now, it seems fixed. Probably just driver problem. Afterall, if something like roll-back drivers exists, there's a reason.
Thanks everybody :)
