Hey guys, something has been pissing me off recently and it's the fact that everyone seems to have an obsession with deciding if a thread should be locked or not and that's is pretty uncool. Other members just go to threads and say stuff like : "@Staffmember pls lock this thread", even though they are not the owner of the thread or a staff member. Sometimes the thread is old but it's still relevant.

So I suggest we the cubecraft community stop tagging staff members on threads that do not belong to us and try to get them locked for whatever reason. A staff member should decide that, they are the ones with this power after all!
Thanks for reading, have a nice night.

( And please guys stop acting like staff members. Just be yourself! :) )

I totally agree with you, but in some occations I do believe it's right for people to tag staff members and ask them to close it. As you said that if someone replies to an old thread and someone else replies and asks a staff to close it, I find this the right thing to do, because if no staff member notices the thread it will stay open and more people will respond to the old thread... But in most of the situations it makes no sense that people ask a staff member to close the thread and only the owner of the thread and the staff members should be able to decide.

Also Happy 2016 and you probably don't have any problems with double posting, do you? :P

I do agree that sometimes there is still room for discussion on certain threads but however sometimes tagging staff members to close the thread is the right thing to do as the problem may have been resolved.

It is useful to tag us when you want an opinion on something. But locking a thread can be done whenever and it does not really matter if the dicussion is ended or not. Sooner or later a staff member will see that thread and lock it if they think everything is answered and solved. If noone comments on it anymore it's just being "moved" to page 2, 3, 4 , etc. Locking a thread is not really thaaaaat important.

So yeah, it is kind of unnecessary to tag staff member just to lock a thread. I agree with Guardian.

Locked unless another staff member wants to share their opinion xD
