You should add friend chat so you can chat with your friend to find out where they are :D i having trouble finding one of my friends on egg wars

They might be adding it along with parties, because there will be confusion if there's a friends chat, but you're talking with someone who doesn't have the person on your friends list E.G. I'm talking with @Kiwipedia but @PartyBlaze doesn't have him on his friends list, it becomes awfully confusing.

The Owners are working on a global messaging system. Just be patient.

But if you want to talk to other people across servers, then you can just use Skype
(If you have it) :p
