If you are willing to spend some money then I advise you to get Frags, if not then something like Bandicam.

DxTory is very Memory efficient for your hard drive and it is shorter to upload and it is the same quality and speed.
Fraps is also good but features slightly better quality and less lag when loading videos, but it is quite a memory-strict program.
Bandicam is not very good with audio streams and it is generally really laggy.
Hypercam Good for slow computers, bad quality, bad lag.
Camtasia pretty good for tutorial videos some people used it for gaming videos and it wasn't all that good, better than bandicam and hypercam.
Live Gamer HD Only used for very HD games on the consoles.

Hope This Helped you.

OBS for everything, hands down. You do need a good computer for this. The file sizes are 100x smaller than fraps or any other program that you have to pay for. OBS is also free, and it is used for the best livestreams possible as of right now. Take this from a youtube partner and from other youtubers

Yeah m8 OBS FTW, guys don't listen to anyone who says good things about Fraps or Bandicam - they both suck and eat all your RAM and lagg!

I guess Fraps is the best, it costs 29€ and you can take 1080p JPEG and many other files, very fast setup.

Yeah it has great quality for it takes up mass amounts of space.
so For catching hackers and reporting it isn't very good. for recording high quality youtube videos then, yes it's Brilliant.
Not really because OBS has the same quality and smaller files

Now you just put yourself in a funny situation , you tried to make fun of my mistake but nope. Sorry to tell you but OBS is also for recording! xD
OBS - Open Broadcaster Software
I Hope that your mind decided to read this statement above which it did not do every reply I've wrote so far.
"Broadcaster" Last time I checked, Broadcast mean't "transmit (a programme or some information) by radio or television.".
It is not designed for recording but it can, you cannot compare Fraps, the best selling recording software with the highest quality, to OBS, a free software which is designed for Livestreaming to various websites and has limited quality and very little to customize. :)

Use Dxtory to record or fraps, dxtory is good because you can record in full screen, use Sony vegas pro 13 to render your videos aswell. This is the most efficiency for me.
