CubeCraft was down during that time. Players were unable to join the server for a few hours if I'm not mistaken. It was fixed around 4:50 AM GMT

cube still getting the highest count after servers going down will forever be funny to me

All the Minetrack website does is listen into what each server is reporting they have.
This is why sometimes Lifeboat will shoot up to 250,000, because that's their default number when their systems break, instead of 0.
I imagine the service providing the number from CC was flicking back and forth between N players and 0 players for a few hours.
