Skyblock How to stop spiders from gathering at the top?

I just made a new spider farm but it has a problem
They are supposed to drop into the hole but they keep climbing up the walls
How can I fix this?

I would recommend building a farm without walls high in the air and unattached. My brother made this setup a long time ago, and it doesn’t seem to have this problem

This looks good but I need to be able to manually kill the spiders

This looks like what my brother used to use to complete these quests. I believe the spawned were placed under those slabs. I have no idea how effective it was, but if your goal is to have the spiders take fall damage and be funneled into a small space, I don’t think this setup would accomplish what you want.
I personally just fought the spiders in a wide flat area, since they seem to be restricted from going outside of a specific radius.
