Im pretty sure Ive queued this hacker like 10 times in the past 5 months-
Not only did sentinel do absolutely nothing but sr report also failed

So lemme get this straight, a hacker from IRAQ got into a NA server, sentinel didn’t do anything, and sr report failed.
Everything Cubecraft has added in the past month is broken

Which server should he play on? There are no servers in Iraq so there is chance he gets on the NA server.
This can cause some ping issues so it would be harder for sentinel to recognize hacks.

so this is why I called the sr report system useless
I dont know this for sure, but /sr would only works if there are more players reporting the hacker with /sr.
Since the release of /sr they never said how the command works. But if one /sr report was enough, a lot of pro players/streamers would get reported falsely.

1)Iraqi should connect to EU servers since they are much closer; based on your logic USA players should connect to EU servers since NA servers are in Canada
2)Thats the point, you need so much reports in such a short amount of time when there are very few players who know it exists.

Sometimes I still got connected to the NA servers, but I live in Europa. My point was he could connect to every server, so complaining about that is useless.

2) Yes 1 report shouldn’t be enough but MY POINT is this system was overhyped and almost completely useless since hackers wouldn’t get banned AND its just inconvenient for the popular players.

It isnt broken, but they could choose to place you in a different region for better matchmaking or to fill games faster.

I play Eggwars Mega and they I have seen a couple hackers getting banned by /sr. Maybe they need to lower the required amount of /sr users in solo games if thats the problem? But I disagree about the “useless system”.

2) The original post about /sr has 2-3k views, with the servers 30k concurrent players that should tell you how useless it is. Instead of putting all that effort into a /sr system they should’ve just developed the anticheat.

I think this is a weird statement, because the people in the NA region got a lot of benefit with the new server. If they are playing on EU server they are the ones with high ping, but now the opponents are having high ping

Higher ping is an advantage on a server with high kb

I'd say the opposite lol, player with low ping always gets the first hit and the high ping player gets sent flying so they cant even hit back.

Edit: corrected some spelling
Nah High ping players don’t take kb until 3rd hit so you’d knock Mr.Low ping off before you get sent flying

Idk, i play with 120 ping usually (EU) and since NA servers were added I'm getting way less first hits (probs cuz I'm playing against more EU players now, with less ping) and I'm geting sent flying into the void because of it

Your Sentinel report probably failed because the player went offline or not enough reports were created for us to receive a report. Keep in mind that the current amount of reports needed for us to receive one is not the final one - it will be changing to balance our time while keeping its effectiveness. We don’t have enough staff members to handle every single report when there are more than 30k players online, that is why we only receive a report if the player has been reported X times.

Instead of putting all that effort into a /sr system they should’ve just developed the anticheat.
And we did - the anticheat is being worked on every single day. In fact, one of the reasons /sr was added was to improve Sentinel.
We're also putting this command to good use to improve the development of Sentinel. We will be keeping extensive statistics of reports to determine which kind of cheats are the most problematic on the network and understand the most common cheats in different game modes. This will allow us to effectively plan out which cheats we should prioritize detecting and help us determine which areas of the network need the most attention by staff.

Sentinel updates for Bedrock are slow for reasons we've stated in a Behind the Cube.

Also, we queue people between NA and EU based on latency. That player must have had better latency to our NA network than our EU ones, and this can happen for a myriad of reasons. Physical distance sometimes isn't the only indicator of whether or not your latency to one server will be better than the other.

Regarding the player cheating, he's been banned. The Sentinel Reports system is in Beta and we're actively working on improving it. If you have any suggestions for what we can do, then that would probably do more to fix your issue.
