Why can other people see my message but I can’t see theirs

Basically I type gg everyone sees it and they type it back and I can’t see theirs message unless they’re an Xbox friend please help.

This might be an account safety setting. I’ll try to figure out the problem right quick. Otherwise in the mean time try to figure out the problem or to fixing your account safety settings.

This problem isn't exactly like yours because it says that other people cannot see their messages either, but try going through the steps on this forum post from Microsoft. Let me know if it helps!

I can't chat on Minecraft bedrock

This all started when sone streamer wanted us to play the bedrock edition of the game. Now, i was more used to java but i had a free cipy of this so i clained it. I noticed though that i cant read

Do you happen to be over 18 (or have your Xbox account set to an age over 18)? If not, make sure you have logged in with your parent's account to make changes to privacy. Here is another link directly to Xbox that has some more information. Hopefully this is better than the last one.
