honestly, paying for speed may actually be an interesting mechanic. Maybe if they did it 1 Apple for 2 gold and 5 for 12 gold. It would be kinda interesting

They made a mistake with the pricing and should reverse it back to 1 gapple for 1 gold and 5 gapple's for 5 gold.

you liked it because it was cheap, problem is that it was too cheap and everybody just went eating gapples and battles would take way longer

Agree with you completely, doubling the price balances the game more, especially since most gold generators on your island will spawn a maximum 5 gold meaning you can get 5 golden apples pretty much off spawn.

It was crearly bugged, as someone previously said it was 1 gold apple per 1 gold and 5 gold apples per 5 gold.
