Special characters in user name?

Hi! I've seen ppl having special chars in their user names. How can I do that?

If you mean their name in Minecraft, there are many websites that tell you with the name that is available, try any name you can use it.

Thanks for reply. But only letters, numbers and underscore are valid characters in Minecraft? I have seen ppl with the "plus sign", stars and stuff...

Hey! As people said above, this is probably because of the Plus feature which allows you to have emotes next to your name. It looks like this:
