What is the hook, if I may ask?
hooking and reeling in is a server side operation. If cubecraft wants them to behave the way they do on java, it would be very simple. Plus, I dont know what the problem is with cubecraft bedrock, but the projectiles are notoriously delayed, way more than my ping would suggest. They insist that its not the fault of their network but throwing a snowball on 100 ping on cube feels like throwing it at 300 ping. I imagine this trend would follow for rods as well.

Been holding up alright, I wish the same for you all
An example of the server problem I was talking about. You can see the ping mismatch between my client and what the server says. If I was actually lagging, the ping number on my client would be much higher. The ping spike happened after playing a few matches in the server, which makes it impossible to have a long session without lagging or having to relog.
