turns out this update isn't the end of eggwars and doesnt drastically change the game in any way. Almost like everyone was overreacting!

EDIT: Since recording apparently they've added axes now which is great! But they plan to remove wood?! Heh?!

I do play java but i don't like 1.9+ pvp and also ping makes pvp unplayable at times on java. I do love java tho and when the ping gods smile down on me i have some great games. Its just pvp is more consistent on bedrock which is much better for making videos. If i get some good recordings i will do java every now and then tho :)

Yeh the update had only just dropped and people were saying its destroyed the game. How do they know its only been out 10 minutes

You know that most of the people complaining hadn't tho. People love to complain when something changes. Doesn't matter what the change is. People hate change.

How do you know most of the people complaining didn't play the beta... It lasted for a good long while, there was a giant advertisement, and it was in the center of the Eggwars select screen. At least 90 Percent of players would have at least TRIED the beta the first time they saw it, especially with all of the asking for a new eggwars update.

People dont complain when stuff changes, they complain when it changes in a way they dislike. If the majority of players playing said no to the beta (They did, look at the comments on the Update Post), then I can totally agree with them complaining when the features they didnt want got added.

I'm not saying peoples hatred of the update was completely unjustified. If it sounded like i was arguing i didn't mean it to come across that way.
I just think the insane amount of posts and whatnot that flooded the forums yesterday was a complete overreaction as while the changes might not be great they don't ruin the game at all and only really affect the late game. Some of the changes were actually good.
A lot of people will have played the beta but a lot of people were probably also just complain for the sake of complaining
