Special bows won’t fire

So I am trying to run away from some kid. I try and push them off the island with a fully charged auto bow, but for some reason it won’t fire a single shot ( I had arrows). Once I let go it recharges itself again and then I get killed.

I used to have that issue, it was because of shields and other stuff in my offhand. You play java or bedrock?

I also have that problem, but only with the automatic bow

automatic bow doesn't use spectral arrow to fire and will bug out like that

I have this sometimes when i switch to another item too fast. It uses the bow and has to recharge but doesn't fire an arrow.
