I think that the little grace period when you spawn is good because you can't get spawn killed however, I think that if a player protected by the grace period hits someone their spawn protection should be taken way. I say this because I've had people with no armour just punch me off the egg or off the edge with their fists and I can't do anything about it because I can't hit them.
