Sometimes its really laggy on skyblock as suggestion: Add a time that removes entetitys from your island as like a lag-clear.

Have you tried turning off fancy graphics? That will help a lot with entity lag, as I think it removes entity shading and shadows.

Maybe try removing any furniture (if you have rank) or spreading out mob spawners across the island if optimizing your settings does not work.
