Well, let's consider this. We already have signatures, and plenty of the forumers around write pretty much the same thing. IGN, level, rank. I have yet, to see a single example, of this so call status effect a rank is supposedly to have on the influence of a person's opinion. Not to mention, if you're aware of this status effect, then you must be less prone to be blinded by it.

I don't think this is a good idea because, like Scottness said, players would agree with comments and threads only because the player have a rank.
And, I think something like "OBS" would be very confusing, because you can confuse it with the recording software.

OBS isn’t even really relevant information anyways plus the confusion

However to that argument for not having your rank shown
That is utter nonsense
I know this because people already put their rank in their signature and it doesn’t happen
