Range in 1,9 and 1,8

Range in 1,9 = You just need a nice Ping.
Range in 1,8 = combos with fishing rods, eggs, snowballs.

I don't have the best ping 30-40 ms and I kill everyone in 1.9 pvp.
In 1.8 pvp I use my rod.

I have terrible ping but I can still PvP fairly easily in 1.9. In 1.9, I'm just BAD. I don't play it anymore but yes, a rod or snowballs are important.

I have ~300ms and I play 1.9 PVP and it's not that bad, wins probably 7/10 fights? Ping matters more in 1.8 because if they have less ping, their hits always registers first. While in 1.9, you just sort of adjust to the ping. Although shield use is terrible with ~300ms ping.

Wth, you're one lucky man, try living in Australia where all the mc servers are overseas with ~300ms :D

Umm its the opposite 1.8 is pretty much impossible without nice ping :P In 1.9 I can go on servers with 300 ping and still do great. Now after a certain point it is unplayable but for the most part I can play 1.8 with over 200 ping at most.
