Players harassing me

Hi Cubecraft,

Short version

1. In what section can I post complains? This question is not really a support question.

2. Is it possible to make spamming “op op op op” punishable. (because tactically there is not one player spamming but 5 and they say it only 3 times or something like that)

3. I don’t use any hacks (I prefer to call it cheating), how to be sure that the staff members don’t ban me for this. I know the staff members are not stupid but everyone can make a mistake. Recording all my games is not possible because it will take a lot of resources of my laptop/HDD.

4. The warning system for bad language is not 100% foolproof. If a player till you to go *blank* yourself (sorry for the language) and leaves, you can not warn him and the report will be declined.

5. Is there any way to proof that a staff member is not mature enough for his function. I could have made some screen shots. And post it in the staff abuse section, I think this would do the job but was scared of number 6.

6. If I create a staff abuse report can someone guarantee me that the member I report is not going to ban me or will block the investigation?

Long version:

I guess I am posting this in the wrong section but I could not really find a section to complain (only suggestions or support but I need some advise). I am playing for some time in the Cubecraft network and there are many people who are very annoying. In the game lobbies when I join a game (I bought the diamond rank) everyone is like “vote op”, “op please”, etc. Sometimes I till those people to buy a rank their selfs to vote for map items. Most time I get reactions like “I am not that stupid to buy a rank”, it doesn’t make any sense.

The problem is that I do not have any rest in the game lobbies because everyone is spamming the chat and spamming me in PM. My question is, how to deal with this kind of people? I tried to ignore them but then sometimes the PM’ing starts. It is punishable to say “op op op op”in the game lobbies?

Second thing.

I am not the best Minecraft player in the world, but still I have a above average kill/dead stats. Many times when I kill a complete team of noobs they all call me a hacker and call me names. This is often after a match and the people will leave seconds later. I can not report any of those people because I can not give them a warning, so my report will be declined.

Third thing.

Some kind of staff immaturity.

Some weeks ago me and my friend were playing against a staff member and his friend. I was stupid and didn’t make a screenshot. I am sure the staff member and his teammate were together because the teammate stayed spectating and communicated with him. In the game we destroyed their egg and the teammate went to total *blank* mode (sorry for the language) against my friend. After some time I made a mistake and fell of a bridge. The teammate and staff member just said LFMO (what is ok and a bit funny if you make a mistake). After the game I killed them both and the teammate went to total *blank* mode again. This time against me. The staff member didn’t do anything to let them stop arguing in the first place and second of all after the games he was harassing me that I have no skill and I am a total noob and play so bad. This kind of behaviour is not fitted to someone with a staff function.

1. I believe you can complain/rant about stuff in Everything else section or suggestions if you are trying to suggest something with your complain.
2. If they say "op op op" many times it can be considered spamming, so yes those can be reported. If they also spam you privately, that can also be reported for spamming.
3. If you are not hacking you won't get banned. Staff members only ban if they are 100% sure, if not then they wont ban. Sentinel does make mistakes though.
4. I don't think bad language requires a warning and if it does, just report them anyways as staff will warn them.
5. Yes, in staff abuse section.
6. No, the staff you are reporting won't be able to ban you unless you were breaking the rules. Some highly specialised staff look through the staff abuse section.

Normally a staff member won't be ban you, if you don't use any hacks. Everyone can make mistakes, but than can you appeal. Sentinel, our anti-cheat makes mistakes and it can happen that you will become false banned.

You don't have to warn a person. That what you have given in your example is impersonating. You don't have to want this person, but reporting him and he will get a mute.

No sorry I made the mistake to forget pressing the f2 button :-). I am not 100% sure about the name so I will not tell any names + without proof the report will not be reviewed. I hope to get an answer to question 6 from a staff member because of its authority.

1. It depends on what complains, if it's players breaking the rules. It will get locked.

2. Yes, but you have to warn them and have evidence.
3. You can't get guaranteed that you will not receive a ban. Sentinel sometimes makes mistakes and has a higher percentage of getting you false banned then a staff. However, Staff still can ban you falsely ( human makes mistakes too ) and you can always appeal if so.

4. First of all, you can use these ***** instead of spelling the actual word. Second, that counts as targeted chat offence which DOES NOT require a warning.
5. Well, it hasto show you that the staff member is actually ABUSING you or another person, not goofing around.
6. First, only Sr.Mods and Admins have access to reviewing staff abuse reports. The staff you are reporting cannot ban you for that, if so, contact an admin immediately. This is abusing power and can lead to demotion and other consequences.

I get your pain, ( I am a diamond donor ) but just ignore them and vote what YOU want. Don't let them get to you.
If they say they are not stupid enough to buy a rank, you can ignore him. You get an awesome diamond rank and you are supporting the server too. Their :stone: rank....pfff. Just let them be.

Yes like I Said before. I forgot to get a screenshot and will not provide any names unless I am 100% sure I have the right one, without that screenshot or an exact date/time it will be to hard to investigate (sorry for that). I will contact my team mate, maybe she got the proof.

Yes, 2 perspectives would be nice. ( I think your teamate was the one getting harassed by the staff's friend. )
Make sure to get things right before asking a Sr.Mod or an Admin to investigate on this matter.

Well, you could just ignore them if they spam it. I have a diamond rank myself, and I never get ticked off when someone tells me to vote for OP.

Well, I know that many want this, but it wouldn't be convenient for the players who are a stone rank and are trying their best to get a person to vote for what they want too. Usually, nobody really wants OP mode on skywars because of the balancing issues that it has. Ranks barely ever vote for it. There may definitely be stone ranks walking around that want OP as they never get the opportunity to play it. When they ask you to vote for it, they may not mean it in a way where it feels like you're being drowned in requests. Instead they're just trying to get the mode they want to play.
You are right though, they might as well buy their own rank, but not everyone has that option.

If they call you specifically any names, you can report them without a warning since it falls under targeting. Targeting is basically reporting for someone that's insulting another, or wishing harm upon someone else outside of the game. If they were to call you a hacker, you wouldn't be able to report them anyways.
You require to warn a player IF they generally swear, not directed at anyone. Example:
"That was a **** game" < Warning, casual swearing.
"You are a ****" < No warning, targeted chat offense.
"What the **** did you do that for" < Warning, casual swearing.
The first and third example both require warnings, as it's not directed at a player, meaning that it isn't really an insult.
If you really want to, you can also simply report them for swearing anyways & the moderators can give the offender an official warning. This warning can last a set amount of time, and makes it so that they can't just generally swear without the chance of being muted without warning. This means, that anyone can report said person for swearing again & they'd get a mute even if they didn't get a warning. The people that you run into that swear may already have an official warning, so you can report them anyways.

If you had made screenshots, you'd be able to report it in the staff abuse section. You don't need to worry about the same staff member closing it and or banning you, as I don't think moderators can see the staff abuse posts. Even if they could, they wouldn't be allowed to remove or edit it.
Staff members cannot ban you without specific reasons, as that's not how the punishing system works. The way it works goes as follows:
It has set offences with set punishments. It'll do background checks on the players history to determine how heavy the punishment will be.
Whenever a staff member bans for hacking for instance, they never need to fill in a time, as they only have to fill in "hacking". It does the times automatically & they can't make bans outside of the set categories.
If you see a staff member breaking the rules, feel free to report them. You don't have to worry about something happen to yourself, as that would pretty much guarantee the staff members demotion. Cube doesn't allow any of that shady business regarding "corrupt" staff members. If staff members abuse of their power, they will have to face the consequences.

If a player swears and you did not have the opportunity to warn them, you can still report the player and a staff member will warn them for you :)

For me, if there aren't any other donors, I simply say in chat, "If I see 4 requests for op, HC it is!" and then I start counting in chat.
If it does reach the "x" amount, I simply vote HC. If I got annoyed, I vote HC. (Could be interchangeable with norm). Usually, people stop their op spam because they're scared of HC, etc. If they do spam too much, simpy warn them and if they continue, screenshot it. I'm pretty sure it's bannable offence.
