So recently there has been an outage. I still don't have access to discord servers, and possibly hundreds more. So I am suggestion that cubecraft could make their own downloadable app where you can do the same things on discord but on cubecraft as a backup if a discord outage happens?
Or maybe a alternative platform, NOT SKYPE.
If you don't agree with me, I totally understand.
Thank you for reading!

A cubecraft app has been suggested so many times, yet never gets recognition by the content team. Anyway an app would be useful and could actually be more customizable than the forums and could also actually look nice. I support this suggestion

The creation of an application is way more time consuming and resource intensive than you could possibly imagine, it would be a hefty task for management and I personally don't think it would be worth the months of development. Discord being down for a few minutes everyday doesn't mean we have to jump ship instantly to an app or another platform, surprisingly there is no platform as perfect as Discord or that has free servers for that matter.

As for the other reasons for an app; features and customisation. I don't really see why that justifies the use of an app, because everything that can be done with an app can be done on a website and if it can be done on a website then it's accessible to phones and thus making it pointless.

I don't support the idea of a backup platform or an app.

I really don't think an making an app is a good use of resources.
Why?
Discord is already in place, and it does heck of a good job on its own. It's also really accessible for anybody, as Discord is a very popular platform.
These Discord outages are completely out of Cube's power, so they can't really help it themselves. Besides, the Discord outages only happen once in a few months. I've only seen it 3 times in the year that I've been on Discord.

In conclusion: Discord works perfectly fine, and making an entirely new app is a waste of time, and only a few people would even find out about the app if it existed.

Minor server update: CubeCraft replaced the emote stand with how to play in all game lobbies. Very nice QoL change for Bedrock. It's also added to the hotbar when you join the game, so now new players can walk up to it or use it while waiting for game to start to learn the game
