No survival option?

Back in the old Tower defense on thechunk we had the option to do a PvP or PvE version of tower defense. PvP when we felt like being competitive and PvE when we wanted to relax (Which when you came near the end of the rounds was no where near relaxing) I'm just questioning why such a great gamemode isn't in here. I personally loved the PvE version more than the PvP one so it kind of sucks I can't play with other players in a team way to defend against waves of mobs together.

Wow I remember that server I actually beat the last wave on it without anyone help :D
