I have another idea, didn't read the megathread though. Currently there seems to be a timer that is started when you enter the shop, and when it reaches a certain time the hunger starts. When you leave the shop, the timer is immediately reset to zero. Maybe it could just slowly go down, so you need to spend at least as much time outside as inside to completely reset the timer?

Maybe that would nerf shopt a little, you would still be able to use them to heal up during a fight, but you couldn't just stay inside and peek out every now and then.

yea that would be better, or a certain amount of blocks you have to walk before it resets.
