I would like to see it on the bottom of the forums, as right now it looks like I am not signed in all the time. Other than that, it is pretty cool and will definitely attract new players to the CCG discord.

I don't like how it loads the user count a tiny bit after the site is already displayed and I already started to read the site. Then the text changes distracting me from the text I was reading.
Would be better if it just loaded the user count with the rest of the site, it doesn't even have to be super up to date, if it was updated every minute on the server that'd be enough.
That was also the reason I didn't like the twitter integration too much, I find it annoying when things move/blink on a website after it's loaded.

Edit: Alsoit seems a bit excessive that it loads the whole list of online users into the browser only to display the total number. Why not just grab the number on the forum server frequently and put it on the site statically?

I think that's kinda the point. It needs to stand out so more people can come join the Discord, and where it's placed is perfect since it's right below where your profile stats are. If they made it match the website color it wouldn't stand out as much and that just leads back to my first point.

We load the data in after so that it doesn't hold up the rest of the rendering of the page.
