If I had one thing to say, make your images vectorial (.svg) rather than raster (.jpg, .png, .webp etc..)
You can use Adobe Illustrator for that and it enables you to make cleaner, scalable logos meaning you can make them any size without losing quality.
When it comes to proportions, use the golden ratio, it makes the design look naturally appealing to the human eye.
Raster images tend to have that pixelised edge as well.
