Hello, Cubecrfters!

Today, my suggestion will solve the problem of necroposting entirely! If this is added to the forums, Cubecraft Staff won't have to worry about it! Yay!

Now, enough with the intro.

Main Idea: When a thread is inactive for over 2 weeks, it says the thread is inactive for over two weeks and prevents you from replying to the thread. Pretty Simple.

Example:

When A Thread Has been inactive for over two weeks, there is a big red exclamation mark on the link to the thread that tells them that this thread has been inactive for over two weeks. Also, members can't reply to that thread since it is inactive for two weeks.

The Reason Why Staff Can Reply If They Need To Say If It Is Escalated Or
Implemented after the thread has been inactive for 2 weeks. And Because They are Staff. :)

If This Gets Added, It Will Solve The Necroposting Problem. (Staff Do Not Have To Put The Exclamation Marks Manually, The Computer Does It.)

Thanks,
-CLR

That’s a pretty good idea, I like it! Instead of having to check the date of when something was posted to comment on something, (I have accidentally necroposted a few times due to me not checking the date of a post) it’s automatically locked - which is easier for everyone. As you said, this would stop necroposting.

I do believe adding something like what you have suggested would be good for the forums. It’s the little things that make the biggest differences!

Yes, but here is a way to make it a lot simpler:

If the thread has been inactive for 2 weeks(doesn't apply to forum games, news posts, etc.), then it is auto-locked.
