    Why: I'm getting this mic for my birthday (March 26th) It gives the best sound quality in it's price-range in my opinion

    I'm pretty happy with my Blue Snowball, but microphones like the Shure SM57 and Samson Meteor cost around the same and sound pretty good, just pick whichever is cheapest where you can get it. If you're looking at something a little more expensive the Audio Technica AT2020 or Shure SM58 are pretty good.
