LeatherWorker quest problem

so i am on the plains island and i am on the Leather Worker quest and it says i have not crafted any armor even though I crafted a chest plate & leggings (Btw this was before I unlocked the quest)

Sadly, you'll need to craft the required items again for them to be counted.

I believe the quests only start counting from the moment you unlock them. If you've creafted those before the quest, you have to do it again :(
