Is this a bug? - Snowman survival

On 1st image you can see that there were stairs. But that stairs broked and i had them in my hand, and i couldnt build. So i coulndt scape. On 2nd image there is a group of snowmans trying t scape, but they cant because the stairs were disapeared. Is that a bug?

If I remember correctly, this is a known bug. I know that tacos knows about it and I'm sure he has passed it on to a dev to get fixed.

It's quite normal actually. The blocks disappear when you stand on it. The same occurs when you try to climb a tree, the leaves will slowly disappear to prevent camping. I, indeed, don't think the ladders have to disappear when you climb them.

On the snowman map, logs/leaves decay, this is to stop people camping on the trees.
Thanks for the report, I've patched up the hole with snow so players can no longer get stuck.
