By late game, my inventory is usually this:

1. Sword
2. Bow
3. Pickaxe
4. Miscellaneous/blocks
5. Miscellaneous/blocks
6. Miscellaneous/blocks
7. Miscellaneous/blocks
8. Blocks/steak
9. Steak/gapples
Off-hand: Shield, if needed

Miscellaneous includes things like Notches and ender pearls. Speaking of which, pearls really need to be added to normal mode shops. I don't care if they cost 64 or 128 diamonds - normal desperately needs something to prevent players from stalling the game.

I like your setup but it really all depends on the map and your personal preference.
