Using a bow to kill someone is usually in interest of saving time and effort. Nothing wrong with that.
If you had a bow and a great opportunity to shoot someone off of a ledge, I'm sure you would take the opportunity if it benefits you.

Not everyone agrees with you here, most of the time when I shoot someone off a bridge I receive "noob" "bownoob" "bow is for noobs" "learn how to pvp" ("bowhacks" lol)

Because people bow spam and become annoying.

PvP isn't the only possible way to kill people

I would get gear, because if you knock someone into the void, your swords attack damage isn't important!
