I don't know much about the difference between a Cheat detection system and Anti-Cheat system, but there's that.

It could be both, GCheat is both also.

Watchdog works with NoCheatPlus
GWEN works with PAC

So as I said it's most likely both, but they are clearly focusing on the auto-bans more than preventing.

You do know that good clients have a system with free alts or you enter the alt info, and the client can switch the acc without closing mc. Therefore you can switch accs in like 5 seconds. So usually hackers dont really care when they get banned, only bad thing is getting kicked from their current game.
