How do I dye leather?

I have a cauldron, water and dye, and yet I can’t dye leather in the usual way. Is this a glitch or is there a unique way to do it in Cubecraft? Thanks!

You might just need to put the dye and the piece of armor together in a crafting table.

In Bedrock Edition they for some reason changed it. You would need to dye water in a cauldron. Then you will right click your leather armor on the water.

That’s what I'm doing, but the cauldron won’t fill to the top no matter how many buckets of water I try and add, and the water in there won’t change colour. I've tried the crafting table idea, and that doesn’t work either.
