You don't need it for staff if that's what you mean. Not does it improve your chances of being accepted. IMO the best deal is either gold or diamond rank

You don't need a rank to show off any staff qualities. For example @HackersDontWin was a stone when he got helper. He had shown all of the needed staff qualities, and therefore got promoted. Staff don't look for "If this guy is obsidian he'll have a higher chance".

Just take some times to get yourself known around here, and not in a bad way. Using your mums credit card without consent is, in fact, illegal , so that's not really a good impression, is it?
