[Forums] 'Pin' option for statuses

Ever posted a really neat status that reflects the kind of person you are, but lost it in a sea of profile spam? Want to give it the attention it rightfully deserves? Well then, wouldn't it be neat if we could "pin" a status, placing it at the top of our profile pages for all to see? You can pin/unpin statuses in a single click, but only one status can be pinned at a time. Any new content posted to your profile will be displayed beneath your pinned status.

I was thinking just our statuses, but if people want to be able to pin anything then why not?

It would also make every profile, more personal or different since everyone is different and like to have different posts pinned on they profil.

Going to quote something I wrote in that thread that I think would be cool.

I don't really see how it's different from the current status which already exists. Unless you can pin multiple things or pin things by others.

Imo this should not be implemented as an additional feature but maybe as an improvement to the existing feature, making it possible to choose an old status to be shown. Or you could only posts the status that you want to pin.

It will change if you post a new status though, and will disappear entirely if statuses are deleted. There's also no way to interact with the status unless you search through their profile to find it, and it's less noticeable as a whole.

Well it'd be cool to have this feature. Doesn't do any harm and it's just a nice community feature to have. I can't really see why not.
