Fix fishing rods

Fishing rod
Doesn't do knock back when hitting another player anymore. Either fix it/remove it, not a lot of people fish too.
If removing it maybe buff the amount of snowballs/eggs in a chest, or simply add more arrows in the loot tables.

Fishing rods don't do knockback in 1.9. They do in 1.8.

Forgot to mention that it was in 1.9, and yes, why is it not fixed though?

You don't necessarily fish for fish you can for other items also fish are pretty useful because in skywars food isn't always plentiful
They actually have much less food then they do armour a large majority of the time

Haybales are given to craft food, so why not? And when was the last time you fished for a bow...

I don't fish for bows I fish for other things like armour weapons or even pickaxes

Well, in 1.8 they still work but in 1.9+ they don't, Mojang removed this feature because of some reason.
Not really valuable since you have to wait before your weapon reloads, that could take a while if you like to PvP with an axe, someone with for example a sword who isn't using a fishing rod could undoubtedly get more hits.
You could also use snowballs or eggs instead of the fishing rod.
Don't know if they're able to implement this but I see no harm in adding this.

Not pointless. In 1.11 (should work the same in 1.9), they're used to reel people in. It's useful to pull runners to you and land extra hits. The farther they are, the more they're pulled toward you. Other than that, it's a very situational item.

Was about to post a comment saying that they should be removed, as they serve no purpose.
But I didn't know that could actually happen with rods, will have to test it out later. :P

But I Don't know anyone that fishes for that stuff except you now, jollow and I don't see a reason why they don't act the same in 1.9 on CubeCraft. It can be modified quite easily. I use fishing rods a lot in 1.8 and snowballs to get comboes.
