I think that staffmembers try their very best to anwser chat messages from players. I know how it is to be a staff member, I was a Helper on another (Dutch) server and I got a lot of messages in the chat. Sometimes you don't see every message and sometimes you're busy with other things.

I always try to say hi back to members, unles i'm a bit moody and just want to play the next game (which is rare btw). I think it's important to let members know there shouldn't be a huge gap between Moderators and Members, which is why I sometimes play games with them if they ask me. If I recognize a forum member (even if I never spoke to him/her) I always say hi. Now I can't really blame staff members for not saying hi, as they just want to play and sometimes just don't want to answer very single question again.

I've never warned players jokingly, spamming three times in chat "hi lezappen" in an attempt to get a response from me (when it was turned off) is considered spam (any message said more than twice).

Exactly how I explained the situation. A group of people triggered your macro multiple times which you then got annoyed over and warned a player (In this case, Dylaila). Before you tell me that the warning wasn't a joke, why did you include ";)" at the end of it and if that's not enough, why did you also undo it straight after then?

They don’t need to respond they might be busy with something else a lot of times they are just afk in the lobbies. Just because you feel butt hurt over a mod not responding to you doesn’t mean that they aren’t doing their job and ignoring you.

You know... when it was actually just used for tips?

What was he supposed to do? Leave it there and try to convince himself and others that the warning was justified?
It's pretty simple: After giving the warning, he probably realized that the "hi" spam wasn't worth a warning, so he undid it.
Why wouldn't he undo it?

ok but seriously: is it that bad that he uses a macro to actually reply to community members instead of leaving them without any replies?
This auto reply works while AFK as well, so players can't assume that he's ignoring them.
Sure, Lez could've worded his initial reply differently by saying "I have a script that automatically replies to anyone that says hi", but what's the issue aside from that? He made the script for this exact purpose. It's more convenient than saying hi 30 times every single time he joins a new lobby. I bet you know all about the constant greeting spam that you used to get as a moderator back in the day.
