{Disclaimer: I will be attaching images at the end of the thread, but as of now I find it useful to be able to directly comment on some of the pictures!}
The creation of this map started around the theme of dragons! But as things were taking shape, those dragons were looking more like ferocious Basilisks.
This BlockWars map features two enormous Basilisks facing each other with their bodies intertwined. Players have to maneuver over the Basilisks' bodies and several platforms scattered around the map.

Here is an overview of the map, you can see everything: spawn islands, Flag/Core rooms, mid, etc.

Spawn Islands were put at a decent distance from the respective flags. That way, there cannot be an obnoxious vicious cycle of killing someone who is defending their Flag/Core but then being intercepted by the same person due to their respawn being very close to their flag.

In most maps that are mainly made up by platforms and have a big amount of void presence, Archer ends up being very OP. For this map, it was made sure that there were enough safe places where you have space to PvP and don't have to worry about being hit into the void. (Although the amount of void that isn't covered is there for gameplay reasons. Being able to throw off your opponent gives you a bunch of PvP strategies to use.)

In some maps (Like CastleWars) there isn't much of a challenge when it comes to effectively capturing the flag. In this map though, every possible pathway to return from the enemy flag is sure to pose a threat!

Don’t you think the villager is extremely far away and there are too many platforms in the middle?

You’re right about the villager, will be changing that ASAP.
The platforms in the middle are abundant as to not make Archer the go-to kit in every scenario the map proposes. They also serve as a wide space for PvP. Plus, some of the platforms require four and three block jumps to get from one to another, adding an extra difficulty to sum up to the adrenaline of running away with the flag!

I only think that the basilisks are merely decorative, they don’t add anything to the map except for an impressive aesthetic, which I like, but maybe I would have put basilisks with their mouth open, and put the flag inside their mouth.
Give more importance to the basilisks, just think about it, remove the basilics and there would only be an aerial map with platforms where you can jump like all the other maps, but hey! That is just my opinion...

I would also remove those platforms so that the medium doesn’t look so saturated

Sorry but it sounds like your trying to change this map to YOUR liking. Everyone else like's it as is but you keep suggesting drastic changes. I'd suggest to build your own map the way you want instead of trying to change someone elses.

I really like this map! The tails are a bit weird, but that’s mainly detail. Because of the platforms you made it a bit more parkour-like, which I love!

Hello,

Thank you @Elivat and team for your map submission! I've had a look round and everything looks pretty good. Not sure what else to say but I'll lock this now and put accepted in title. (I'll change to implemented once it's on the actual server).

As this is the first map submission that has been accepted, those of you wondering why your map hasn't been accepted yet. Long story short, I look at the yes/no ratio in votes, then contact the map creator directly for a world/schematic if I also like the look of it. I then review it, give any feedback if needed, then yes.. map accepted.
