Arrows Bounce Off Power-ups in bridges

Anyone know why this is? When I shoot a power-up sometimes it just bounces off. I assume this is a game mechanic somehow. How to avoid this anyone?

It's most certainly a bug, but it probably happens because the power-ups are invincible entities which causes the arrows to bounce off of it.
