hive is getting more players because they ripped off cubecraft bridge and capture the flag are ripoffs of blockwars and the monorail is just a ripoff of the train therefore what cubecraft should do is make a big update ripping off the hive as well
aspects such as the quest master/the cosmetics system/etc that draw players to the hive would cause them to switch to cubecraft if cubecraft added better versions such as a quest master that doesn't make you wait until the end of the day for more quests
This in no way justifies the means.
Simply copying/mimicking from other servers/people just because they already do it is a bad practice and the source of many human conflicts...
Copying alone can never make a good server that stands out from the masses
Making it being memorable and unique, so players have a reason/will to return
Although it is ok to take inspiration from each other in the spirit of competition,
thus forcing the participants to constantly improve each other;
Doing it excessively in long-term will make it lose its soul and sink it in the lands of mediocre-ness
After all, we play cube because we want to play cube, not Hive or other large servers that have „pixel“ in their name
