yes enderpearl cooldown in all game's. alot of pvp servers have it. + in pvp it's very annoying if you get the kit with the enderpearls people just run and they spam their enderpearl.

In pvp, duels you can choose. Well i always play 1.8. But the maps and the kits you get doesnt match sometimes Like maze and bow?! Most of the time people are also hiding/camping with their bow and it is really annoying. Or people just run 5 minutes long. I can't name all the maps but please...
