Java Tower Defense add back when?

I used to GRIND this gamemode like no other, I loved (and still "love") Tower Defense, it was such an amazing gamemode I wish would be added back, I'd be griding this gamemode until I physically can't anymore, I really want this gamemode added back, thank you! :D

Bringing back Tower Defence would probably be difficult.

First, there is the issue of not having enough players. If the player count is too low, matches won’t start even if Tower Defence is brought back. :(

Second, I think there may be technical challenges involved as well.

Towards the end of 2022, CubeCraft made a major update, moving from Minecraft v1.12 to v1.19 and adding features such as tridents and crossbows.
Minecraft v1.12 and v1.19 are likely quite different in terms of their internal systems, although this is just my personal speculation.

I'd love for it to be at least accessible via private games (to not waste resources on a niche gamemode), even if we can't have public queues for it

On bedrock there's usually quite a bit of players online. On java there are fewer but there still are
how difficult will it be for the cubecraft team to unify the 2 different servers so bedrock players and java players will be able to play together thus increasing the player count?

I would love for tower defense to come back, it was my favorite game

I totally agree that TD deserves another fair chance.

Its relatively passive gameplay felt refreshing, yet it was far from boring thanks to the strategic planning involved. It was truly one of a kind.

Some dude made a Hytale TD minigame heavily inspired by an old version of the TD game on cubecraft

It's probably only a matter of time until they port it to MC... or maybe this Monoto fella will finish his recreation that was also being developed at a similar time.

I wouldn't bet on cubecraft bringing it back though

I would not disagree with adding any removed game cause why not, but if i had to choose i would go straight to Minerware, the problem with tower defence is that most of the times it was empty.
