Hello Guys,

If you actively play on CubeCraft, you probably know that alt accounts and cheaters are one of the biggest problems on the server. Cheaters get banned, create a new alt account, cheat again, get banned again, and simply repeat the same process over and over.

There are many things that I and many other players do not understand, but today I am not here just to complain about the server.

There is, however, one thing I really have to talk about: why is the anti-cheat system so bad? Players can literally fly or use kill aura in FFA for hours without getting banned. Considering how large this server is, it should not be that difficult to develop a better and more reliable anti-cheat system. Right now, it does not even feel like the system meets the bare minimum.

I have seen many of my friends quit the server simply because of the huge number of cheaters and alt accounts. Want to play a game normally? If you are even slightly well-known, cheaters on alt accounts will constantly target you.

The worst part is that you cannot even tell by looking at a players name, whether this account belongs to a legitimate new player, or to someone cheating on an alt account.

My suggestion would be to add a cooldown period for newly created Microsoft accounts before they can join CubeCraft. Something like 1, 3, or 7 days. Right now, people can instantly create a new account after getting banned and continue cheating without any real consequences.

There are a lot of good suggestions by other players too, such as limiting some gamemodes to a certain level, which would probably be way easier than adding a cooldown for new accounts.

Nobody likes cheaters, and honestly, it feels like the server does not care at all about its legitimate players and community.

I really hope we are receiving new solutions against cheaters and alt accounts soon, and it doesnt take forever.

Hi, I'm glad to see that someone else can actively express the big problem CubeCraft is suffering from. Regarding the issue of anti-cheat, due to lack of knowledge I would not know how complex it is to create one; Sometimes ignorance is daring and we should not make the mistake of believing that something is "easy" just because it seems like a basic function to us.

However, it seems to me that CubeCraft has a responsibility to provide justice to malicious people who ruin the experience of others. I really like the idea of restricting newly created accounts or requiring a minimum level within the server to access certain game modes. In fact, something similar already exists in Skywars, where a VIP rank is required to enter Skywars Chaos. Implementing something similar by experience levels would greatly reduce the harassment that popular players receive.

In the end, we also have the responsibility to report every strange behavior we see if the anti-cheat fails to detect it. I hope you take these suggestions into account!

Hello,

At beginning I’m not playing bedrock, so my opinion will be only related to java.

So CubeCraft never’ll block alt accounts entirely, they can only increase price for cheaters to enter server because even if they receive punishment, they can simply use proxy/vpn which are cheap at this time.
Even if they’ll improve proxy/vpn detection, there are still residential and mobile proxies which mostly can’t be blocked or detected, but their price are higher.

Also half of cheating accounts on java have ign like „XYZ_ABCDE_01_23” or they can be easily spotted by high latency (red) in tablist because of fake latency.

About cooldown to new minecraft accounts, mojang api doesn’t provide any endpoint to check account creation date, even if it’ll be possible i dont think that’ll be allowed for mojang partnered server.

Limiting certain game modes for levels is good idea and also bad, because if CubeCraft will restrict all game modes except for example parkour, pillars of fortune and skyblock, then most of cheaters will be cheating on PoF and gameplay on that game mode will be completly ruined. In my opinion best thing to do is something like verified game queue which can be obtained by reaching level 5, but i this may extend game start period.

AntiCheat on CubeCraft is probably bad because only single person (basing on team history & status) is developing it, and that single developer have to develop bedrock and also java version of sentinel where java have most of things like movement different than bedrock and vice versa.

Yeah, cheaters are most common in FFA. They cheat and easily avoid Sentinel. Cheaters get banned by Sentinel automatically but they use a ping disabler at around 2,500 ms to reduce the chance of Sentinel being detected. Also note that they fly incredibly fast, use switch aura at 14-15 CPS without getting server kicks, and always doing critical hits without falling. Cheaters in FFA are exploiting kills to gain experience extremely fast. Legitimate players have to leave or stay in the kit selection to avoid the cheater from farming kill streaks if the cheater is still alive. Some cheaters can go back in an older version and inject compatible cheat clients. We’re going to need to update supported versions higher than 26.0 or 26.10 so that older cheat clients are patched and you can no longer join the server unless you update to the latest version of Minecraft. Dozens of alternative accounts were being created to bypass bans and blocked connections by using VPN. Proving you’re a human was a simple challenge and can make Microsoft accounts infinitely without causing any errors. It can sometimes provide an error message saying please try again. Even after you completed the challenge correctly, it still gives you an error message. It usually happens against Microsoft’s policy.
